New South Wales

| Licence costs $125 under $10k prize value. | |||||||||||||||||
| Selection of the winner must be done via an excel stored procedure with an independent witness (can be a 'man off the street') witnessing the procedure and signing a statutory declaration to be filed. | |||||||||||||||||

| Permit for prize value fund over $5000 only. | |||||||
| Permit is valid for 1 year only. | |||||||
| Trade promotions lottery permit costs $295.10. | |||||||
| It takes 28 days to issue a permit. | |||||||
| Application must include The Nominee's ORIGINAL National Police Certificate. | |||||||
| If the individual value of a prize in the lottery exceeds $250 the name of the winner must be published in a newspaper circulating generally in Victoria. However, if the total value of prizes for the lottery is less than $500 but an individual prize exceeds $250, the name of the winner only needs to be published in a newspaper circulating generally in the area in which the trade promotion lottery was held. | |||||||
The holder of a Trade Promotion Lottery permit must keep records for 3 years after the completion of the lottery. These records must consist of:

Queensland
| No licence necessary. | |
| A promotional game must be drawn on the day, within one year of the day it starts, stated in the terms and conditions for the game. | |
| Retention of Records: General gaming records shall be kept for a period of 5 years unless a shorter period is approved by the chief executive. |
South Australia
| 2 types of licence - major is over $5000 in value and minor is under. | |
| Licences are valid for 12 months. | |
| Electronic selection must be an approved process and the scrutineer for promotions with a prize value over $20,000 must be a JP or similar. | |
| Winners of prizes over $250 have to be published in a state wide newspaper with details sent to the minister within 14 days. |
