Email to Voice

Receiving a Voice Call sent from Email (preset sending)

This makes it easy for clients and friends to stay in touch while you are on the move by sending you an email which reaches your phone as a voice call. Also useful for receiving alert notifications on your phone such as eBay bidding alerts.

Once you have set up an SMS-Messaging account (click here) you will create an email address, not necessarily your 'from' email address, such as MikesPhone@x-onvoice.com (subject to availability) and enter a phone number where the voice calls will be delivered, for example your office phone number. Now anyone, or any notification service, can send an email to MikesPhone@x-onvoice.com and you'll receive a voice call delivered to your selected phone.

For each email sent to MikesPhone@x-onvoice.com your account will be charged 1 credit per call. The cost may vary depending on the location of the your phone. Messages can also be forwarded to your usual email address, providing you with a copy of the email (subject to a 2Mb limit per email).

The facility exists to set up multiple such addresses connected to different phone numbers. As an example this would allow you to setup an address and phone number for various staff members making it easy to contact them from your desktop PC or laptop while they are out of the office.
